Rock in Rio Lisboa 2026

Parque Tejo, Lisbon

Jun 20, 21, 27, 28, 2026

Rock in Rio Lisboa returns to Parque Tejo on 20, 21, 27 and 28 June 2026 for its 11th edition, the Portuguese offshoot of the Brazilian franchise since 2004. The Tagus runs past the site, with the Vasco da Gama bridge as the backdrop. Katy Perry, Linkin Park, Rod Stewart and 21 Savage headline a mainstream pop, rock and hip-hop programme.

The daytime crowd skews family-friendly and cross-generational, casual fans arriving mid-afternoon under the June sun and the site filling up as each headliner approaches. Between sets, the international crowd of more than 100 countries drifts through Rock Street, rides the Ferris wheel for the river view or queues for the slide.

Unlike most European summer festivals, Rock in Rio Lisboa runs a purpose-built City of Rock. The main bill shares the ground with a Ferris wheel, a slide, the scent of bifanas from themed food zones and the buskers along Rock Street. Four days across two weekends every two years, which is an unusual cadence on a circuit that mostly runs annually.

Parque Tejo has no adjacent Metro station. The official CARRIS Shuttle runs between Cidade do Rock and Gare do Oriente from 12:00 to 03:00, extended to 04:00 on 27 June. From Gare do Oriente, Metro Red Line trains reach central Lisbon. CP urban trains also stop at Sacavém, a 7-minute walk from the venue.

Lynx tip: Venue exit queues tend to happen, and might take up to two hours to take the shuttle back to Gare do Oriente. The 7-minute walk to Sacavém CP train station is the faster alternative if the shuttle line looks heavy. Check the last urban train for your return line before committing.

Yes. The official CARRIS Shuttle runs between Gare do Oriente and Cidade do Rock throughout each festival day. Service operates from 12:00 to 03:00, extended to 04:00 on 27 June. A round-trip ticket costs €2 until 14 June and €4 from 15 June onwards, sold through the festival website.

Lynx tip: Buy the shuttle in advance before 15 June to pay €2 instead of €4 for the round-trip. The ticket is round-trip only, so if you plan to exit on foot via Sacavém after your set, skip the shuttle and buy a one-off CP urban train fare instead.

Rock in Rio Lisboa does not publish a recommended arrival time, but entry queues tend to grow around 18:00. All entries pass through security and bag checks, and re-entry is not allowed once you leave.

Lynx tip: Arriving early, ideally by 16:00, gives more time to clear the gate and settle in before evening crowds peak. Parque Tejo is a newer venue for this festival, so allow time to find your bearings on first entry.

Prohibited items include outside food and drink, bottles with caps over 330ml, cans, helmets, large bags or backpacks, umbrellas, selfie sticks, chairs, laptops, knives and sharp objects, lasers, fireworks, ropes, and power banks larger than a mobile phone. Liquid containers over 100ml such as sunscreen are also banned. Professional cameras and recording equipment are not allowed.

Lynx tip: Two rules catch people out. The 100ml liquid limit covers sunscreen, insect repellent and hand sanitiser. The power bank limit is phone-sized and anything larger or rigid is usually refused at the search.

All tickets are digital. Tickets bought on the Rock in Rio Lisboa website or Fever appear in the Fever app under the same email used to purchase. Worten online sends a PDF by email. Worten stores and Worten Pack vouchers issue a physical ticket at the store counter. Screenshots and photos are not accepted at the gate.

Lynx tip: Download the Fever app and log in at least 48 hours before you travel. International SIMs sometimes fail on festival Wi-Fi, and the live ticket has to open at the gate. If you bought multiple tickets for friends, transfer them through the Fever app, each person needs the live ticket in their own app.

Premium Club is sold as a private 10-person table at €7,380 per day, not as an individual ticket. The package includes 10 entry tickets, open bar, catering, private restrooms, a reserved view of Palco Mundo and a Premium Shuttle. Tables are assigned in purchase order and are valid for one festival day only.

Lynx tip: Premium Club is sold only as a 10-person table at €7,380, there is no solo upgrade. For smaller groups, the individual paid options are Comfort Zone at €179 and VIP at €380 per day. The €738 per-head rate only works out if you have 10 people committed before booking.

Yes, but only if it is no larger than a mobile phone. The official forbidden items list specifically bans power banks larger than a phone, along with laptops and professional batteries.

Lynx tip: The rule is phone-sized or smaller, anything larger is explicitly on the forbidden list. Slim, pocket-sized power banks that sit next to your phone are the safest bet. Keep it in your pocket during the search rather than buried in a bag.

No. Re-entry is not allowed under the official Terms and Conditions. Once you leave the Cidade do Rock, a new ticket is required to come back.

Lynx tip: Plan your meals, bathroom breaks and rest around staying inside the full day. There is no stepping out to a nearby restaurant between acts. For medication or special-diet food, carry a medical certificate and photo ID, so that security clears those cases at the bag check on first entry.

The City of Rock hosts multiple food vendors across the site, with Portuguese and international options. Specific vendor details for 2026 have not been published at the time of writing. The Comfort Zone and VIP Area include separate food and drink provision for ticket holders in those zones.

Lynx tip: Queues tend to grow before the headliners go on stage, therefore pick a vendor close to your next act's stage and go well before the headliner window.

The official FAQ states that outside drinks are not permitted as a general rule. The forbidden items list specifically bans bottles with caps over 330ml and other liquid containers over 100ml. Water refill points were available on site in 2024 per attendee reports, though provision for 2026 is not yet detailed in the official FAQ.

Lynx tip: A capped bottle up to 330ml passes the forbidden-items rule. Water refill points were reported at the venue in 2024, so an empty reusable bottle under 330ml is the practical choice if the service returns for 2026. Larger capped bottles are confiscated at the gate.

No. The official FAQ lists outside food and drinks as prohibited, including hard fruits such as apples and pears. For medical needs, present a medical certificate and photo ID at the bag search on first entry. Medication and special-diet items are reviewed by security on that basis.

Lynx tip: Because re-entry is not allowed, you cannot pop out for a meal and come back. Eat before the gate or commit to buying inside. If you carry a medical certificate, keep it on you through the search, not buried in a bag.

Feel the Sound space

Sinta o Som is a reserved space near the speakers of the main stages that lets deaf audiences feel the vibration of the music. Each user may bring one companion. Access wristbands are issued at the Accessibility Center and are subject to availability.

An audio description service narrates the performances for blind and low-vision audiences. Information and sign-up are available at the Accessibility Center on arrival.

Sensory kits and sensory room

Inclusivity

LGBTQ inclusive

Although there is no official information stating that Rock in Rio is an inclusive festival for the LGBTQ+ community, Rock in Rio Lisbon has a partnership with APPDI (the Portuguese Association for Diversity and Inclusion) to promote diversity and inclusion. Unofficial reports describe Rock in Rio as a safe and welcoming festival for the LGBTQ+ community.
